your world is only as big as your heart

This past year has had its up's and down's. Bad things seem to happen in cycles. It's just the way things happen, but everything happens for a reason. It was the break up, then grandpa's passing, and now my mom's cancer. Life just never seems to give anyone a break. But that's life and I'm staying strong for my family, friends, and myself (if I didn't I think I'd go crazy!). Lately I've realized how important family is. I used to never want to be home and I was always with my friends, but now I've realized that being with my family is where I should be the most. They continually have love no matter what. I love them so much! :)

My Mom just finished her 5th round of Chemo! Only 3 more! She has been staying so strong through this process. I don't know how she does it, she is something that I'm striving to become more and more everyday. (And she is still working during this whole thing, amazing!)This is just one step in the long process that she will yet to face. She will have a double mastectomy either late August or early September. After she is fully recovered from her surgery she will have 33 rounds of radiation. It's a long strenuous process, but she is a strong lady and can get through anything! (I'll keep you guys updated!)

Did I forget to mention how my Dad is doing through all of this? He is being a ROCK. (He always has but, he is just great!) He keeps this household together, running the boys around to practice, to there friends, grocery shopping, etc.... You name he does it!

Just wanted to say that I really love my Grandma, she's the best :) She is an angel to our family and I don't know what we would do without her! I love her so much! And she is my casino buddy too. Can you say best grandma ever!

I have been working two jobs since being home, at City Perc and down on the Lake Cruise Boats downtown. I've been staying busy and loving every second of it! Last night I went to dinner with Kelly and Janet! We went to the Texas Roadhouse, it was great! And our waitress was kind enough to give us each a basket of rolls and yummy cinnamon butter. :) This weekend is Car D' Alene so it will be a busy, fun weekend! Well I don't really know if I'm going to like this whole blogging thing but hey, might as well try it! :)
